Mumbai International Airport inaugurated a new taxiway N9, on 01-Nov-08. The location of this taxiway has been designed (located at 2614m from the threshold of runway 09-27) to facilitate all wide-body aircraft to vacate the runway after landing.

Mumbai International Airport Ltd awarded the Aldeasa and India Tourism Development Corp JV, a USD129.9 million contract to operate duty-free concessions for three years, effective 01-Jun-07. The JV will occupy 14,580 sq ft departures and 7,530 sq ft arrivals outlets at the airport. The Nuance Group, Alpha, Dufry and DFS and their respective local partners were reportedly shortlisted.
