Bahrain Air launched its services to India on 26-May-08 with the inaugural flight to Kerala’s commercial capital, Kochi. The first non-stop flight to Cochin International Airport left Bahrain at 10:40.

Bahrain Air announced it is planning to launch a USD270 million fund to finance the acquisition of six new aircraft. The carrier is currently in negotiations with a number of financial institutions regarding the fund raising.
