Airbus achieved 1,341 net orders in 2007 valued at US157.1 billion at catalogue prices (1,458 new gross orders valued at USD181.1 billion). They include 913 A320-Family aircraft, 405 A330/A340/A350s, and 23 A380s.

INDIA : (XFN-ASIA) Kingfisher Airlines will buy five more superjumbo EADS unit Airbus A380s in addition to the five it has already ordered as it seeks to start international operations this year.

INDIA : BOC Aviation has signed agreements with Jet Airways for the lease of five more Boeing Next Generation 737s. The aircraft will be delivered new from the Boeing final assembly line between March 2010 and November 2011. The aircraft will be leased to the airline for a period of 10 years each.

Embraer delivered 61 jets to the Commercial Aviation, Executive Aviation, and Defense and Government segments during the fourth quarter of 2007 (4Q07), meeting its goal of delivering 165 to 170 aircraft in 2007. The company recorded the largest annual airplane delivery figure in its history, 169 jets, and its firm order backlog achieved a new record of USD18.8 billion, on December 31, 2007.

INDIA : (c) Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation: Air India has inducted the fourth Boeing 777-200LR (Longer Range) aircraft in its fleet. The aircraft arrived in Delhi from Seattle on 02 January 2008. The 238-seater aircraft has been configured with eight seats in the First Class, 35 in the Executive Class and 195 seats in the Economy Class.

INDIA : (c) Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation: Jet Airways to use Airbus 330-200 aircraft on the Mumbai-Singapore-Mumbai sector, effective 20 December 2007, followed by the Chennai-Singapore-Chennai sector on 21 December 2007 and the Chennai-Kuala Lumpur-Chennai sector will be upgraded effective 28 December 2007.

INDIA : (c) Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation: Jet Airways recently inducted a new Boeing B777-300ER and an Airbus A330-200 aircraft into its fleet. While the B777-300 ER is the seventh such aircraft in Jet Airways fleet of 71 aircraft, the A330-200 is the fifth addition of its kind to the same.

INDIA : (CAPA FREE) Kingfisher takes delivery of Airbus A321-200 from aircraft lessor AWAS. The carrier has taken delivery of the new aircraft on a nine year lease. AWAS will also deliver another new-build A321-200 to Kingfisher before the end of the month.

(CAPA) Both aircraft manufacturers are aiming to exceed their record order lists before the year is over. For the third year in a row, Boeing has achieved its all time record sales, yesterday reporting it has received 1,047 net orders for commercial aircraft so far in 2007, exceeding its 2006 total of 1,044 orders. In turn, that exceeded 2005's previous record of 1,002.

INDIA : (CAPA) SpiceJet took delivery of its first B737-900ER (Extended Range) aircraft from The Boeing Company on 07 November 2007. With this delivery, SpiceJet becomes the first India-based airline to operate the B737-900ER. SpiceJet originally announced its decision to purchase five 737-900ERs and five 737-800s at the 2006 Asian Aerospace Air Show in Singapore.

INDIA : (CAPA) AWAS, a leading aircraft lessors, announced it has completed sale and leaseback transactions with Jet Airways for two 737-800 aircraft. AWAS completed the deal with the airline in late September 2007. The aircraft, MSN 29038 & 29040, have been leased back by Jet Airways for five and half years.
