Simplifly Deccan to launch services from Bangalore to Indore and Tiruchirapalli
Simplifly Deccan announced plans to launch daily Bangalore-Indore via Nagpur service using A320s, as well as two times daily Bangalore-Tiruchirapalli service using ATRs, effective 30-Mar-08. The carrier is the first to offer air connectivity on both routes.

Officiating CEO, Ramki Sundaram, states, “we are consistently focused on increasing connectivity between the major metros and the fast developing mini metros across India.”

Given the lack of direct train connectivity between Bangalore, Indore and Nagpur, the new service offers travelers a quick and direct alternative option.

Bangalore is the capital of the State of Karnataka, the nations software capital and a major hub of manufacturing industries. Indore is the largest city in the State of Madhya Pradesh and the biggest hub of software and manufacturing industries in the region, while Tiruchirapalli is the fourth largest city in the State of Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, Deccan launched the ‘Fantastic February’ promotion, offering travelers booking tickets through its website the chance to win free air tickets, and other prizes. The offer is valid on all tickets booked between 12-Feb-08 and 29-Feb-08, for travel until 31-Mar-08.

According to the Head of Marketing, Nalin Gagran, the promotion aims to stimulate air travel and allow customers to experience the new Deccan.

The former Air Deccan was officially rebranded as “Simpifly Deccan” on 20-Oct-07. The carrier currently operates a fleet of 42 aircraft comprising of 21 A320, 14 ATR42, and eight ATR 72 aircraft, and operates 350 daily services to 63 destinations. Kingfisher-Air Deccan Group is now India’s largest domestic airline connecting 69 cities and offering over 570 flights daily with a fleet of 78 aircraft.
