(XFN-ASIA) Sir Michael Bishop, the chairman of airline bmi, has been approached about a potential sale of his stake in the company by Indian carrier Jet Airways, according to The Sunday Telegraph.
Jet reportedly expressed an interest before Christmas in conjunction with a leading Middle-Eastern airline, believed to have been Emirates. The report claims the approach was made through an unidentified third party to 'test the water' and that the two sides have held no formal meetings to discuss any possible offer.
