The committee has established beyond doubt that the cockpit was not left unmanned at any stage of the flight. The Management has also constituted a separate five-member committee, headed by a senior woman official, to examine the charges of sexual harassment, which has been levelled by one of the hostesses involved in the incident. This committee, which has begun its investigations today, also has a representative from an NGO, in accordance with the Government guidelines. While the Management of Air India is committed to a sense of fair play in all its dealings with the employees, any act of indiscipline which tarnishes the image of the airline, is viewed seriously.
