CFM to establish training centre in Delhi

CFM International announced plans to establish an aircraft engine maintenance training school in New Delhi in 2010. The 1,000 sq m facility will provide training to up to 500 engineers p/a for maintenance and inspection of CFM56-7B and CFM56-5B engines, which power B737s and A320 aircraft. CFM has similar facilities in China, France and the US.
Earlier in Feb-07, CFM and Indian Airlines formed a JV to establish an MRO facility in India. The airline has ordered 43 CFM56-5B powered A320 family aircraft and currently operates six Airbus A319 jets with the same engine model. |
