Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Indian Airlines, confirmed (05-Dec-06) plans to launch low cost regional operations with six 70-seat regional jets in Apr-07.
The carrier announced tenders for the aircraft, to be operated on leases of five to seven years, in late Nov-06, and is also seeking flight crew and maintenance staff to operate the aircraft. Alliance would reportedly operate as the regional unit of the company emerging from the Indian Airlines and Air India combination. |
