Air Sahara announced (18-Aug-06) plans to launch daily Delhi-Guangzhou service on 07-Nov-06, subject to government approval.
The carrier also plans to launch daily service to the Maldives (via Colombo) and Dhaka (via Kolkata) in Winter 2006. Air Sahara plans to use its second largest hub, Kolkata, as a gateway for China and Southeast Asia. Air Sahara will increase frequencies on the Delhi-Hyderabad and Delhi-Kolkata routes. The carrier also plans to launch services to 11 new domestic destinations by 16-Dec-06, as part of plans to regain market share. New destinations include secondary cities such as Chandigarh, Indore, Bhopal, Vadodara, Raipur and Nagpur, as well as tourist destinations like Jodhpur, Khajuraho, Port Blair, Trivandrum and Udaipur. |
