Boeing wins 700 mln usd order from India's Air Sahara
NEW DELHI (XFN-ASIA) - Boeing Co said it has won an order from Indian private carrier Air Sahara for 10 B737-800 passenger jets worth more than 700 mln usd.

Delivery of the aircraft is due to begin in the middle of 2009, Dinesh Keskar, senior vice president of sales for south and south east Asia at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said in a statement. This order reflects our confidence both in the growth of India's aviation market and Air Sahara's modernization and expansion plans, said Alok Sharma, president of Air Sahara, in the statement.

Keskar said India is now a major market for the US company and predicts that the country will order about 856 new airplanes valued at more than 72 bln usd by 2026.
